Search Committee Training
Institutional Equity, in collaboration with the Provost’s Office and Office of Human Resources, provides training for search committees. These workshops are designed to help hiring managers and search committees identify and incorporate best practices in recruitment and selection so they can conduct fair, inclusive, and effective searches, consistent with university and department goals. Topics covered include: recruiting diverse applicant pools, evaluating applicants, minimizing unconscious bias, interviewing candidates, creating an inclusive environment, and complying with equal opportunity, affirmative action, and confidentiality responsibilities.
