Microsoft Imagine has been rebranded as Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. You can access Azure Dev Tools for Teaching at azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools. OIT is working to update this page to reflect the change to Azure Dev Tools for Teaching.
Imagine (formerly known as DreamSpark) is a Microsoft Program that allows students, faculty and staff to download selected Microsoft software on their personal computer for educational purposes. All members of The University of Texas at Dallas have access to Imagine Standard.
Resources available through Imagine Standard include:
- Visual Studio 2015 Community edition
- SDKs for Windows, Kinect, Surface, Windows Phone, and XNA Game Studio
- Windows Server 2008, 2012, and multiple SQL Server editions
Some departments have arranged for their students to have access to Imagine Premium which includes software like Visio and the Windows Operating System. Check with your department technicians or administrative assistant to find out if you are eligible.
Note: A Microsoft Account is required to sign up for Imagine.
